Waqf Board Bill: Awareness & Understanding Workshop

Waqf is a trust for Allah’s sake — land, a masjid, a graveyard, a school — held so it cannot be treated as private property. Islamic Center Information Hub runs this workshop so residents of Firozabad can follow the Waqf Board Bill discussion with facts, not rumours forwarded on a phone.

The sitting explains, in simple Urdu and Hindi-friendly English, what a waqf board does, why documentation matters, and which questions a family should ask before sharing a claim on social media. Teachers avoid party slogans. The aim is understanding, not a rally inside the hall.

Parents, students of civic studies, and committee members from local masajid are the usual audience. When Parliament or the courts move, the Center updates the briefing and holds another sitting so the community is not left in the dark.
