1. Who we are
Islamic Center Information Hub (“we”, “us”, “the center”) is an Islamic education and community institution at Madina Colony, Firozabad, Uttar Pradesh 283203, India. We run the website islamiccenterfzd.com and publish the “Islamic Center” app for Android.
This policy covers the public website, the Islamic Center app, student login, live classes, Live now, course enquiries, fatawa questions, push notifications, and the administration panel. It does not cover other sites or apps we may link to.
We follow the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India) for personal data we process. The English text of this page is the official version.

2. The Islamic Center app
The Islamic Center app for Android shows the pages of this website inside the app, so everything in this policy applies to the app in the same way. The app is built with the Appilix app platform and is free. It has no advertisements and no in-app purchases.
Permissions the app may ask for: Internet (to load the website); Notifications (to send you center announcements — you can say no); Location (only when you open the Qibla page and allow it); Camera and Microphone (only when you join a live class and choose to turn them on). Each of these is asked by your phone, and you can change it at any time in your phone’s Settings → Apps → Islamic Center → Permissions.
The app does not read your contacts, SMS, call log, photos, files, or accounts on the phone, and it does not track your location in the background.
When you tap a phone number, WhatsApp, email, or map link, the app hands that link to the matching app on your phone (dialer, WhatsApp, email, or maps). What happens there is covered by that app’s own privacy policy.
3. Information we collect
You can read most of this website and app without creating an account. We collect personal information only when you give it to us, or when a feature you use needs it to work.
Contact messages: name, email address, phone number if you add one, your message, the date, and the IP address used to send the form. We keep the IP address to slow down spam.
Course enquiries: name, email, phone, WhatsApp number, address, and the course you asked about, so the administration can reply.
Student accounts: name, email, login password (stored only as a secure hash), course enrolment, results the teachers publish, live-class attendance, and an optional “remember me” cookie after you sign in. Student accounts are created by the center, not by public self-registration.
Fatawa questions: the name, contact details, and question you submit, so a teacher can answer you and, if published, so the public can read the ruling with personal details removed as the administration decides.
Live class and Live now: if you turn on camera or microphone, that audio and video is sent so the class or public stream can run. We do not keep a recording on this site unless the administration later posts one through Center Updates or an embedded video.
Location: the Qibla page asks for your location so the compass can point to the Kaaba from where you are. The latitude and longitude are sent to our server only to calculate the direction and are not saved. We do not build a movement history.
Device and usage data: pages opened, approximate region (country or city), device type, browser or app, screen size, and whether you used the website or the app. This comes from Google Analytics (see section 5) and our server logs, and is used in summary form only.
Push notification token: if you allow notifications in the app, your phone gets an anonymous device token so notifications can reach it (see section 4). The token does not contain your name, number, or email.
Prayer times, Ramadan, and moon tools may remember the city you last chose on your own device. Zakat figures you type are used only to calculate an estimate in your browser. We do not keep a wealth profile or a zakat account for you.
4. Push notifications
The app can send notifications about new activities, courses, center updates, live classes, and important announcements. Notifications are delivered through Firebase Cloud Messaging (a Google service) and the Appilix platform, which store the device token needed to reach your phone.
Notifications are only shown if you allow them. To stop them, turn off notifications for Islamic Center in your phone’s Settings, or uninstall the app — uninstalling removes the token from your phone.
We do not use notifications for advertising, and we do not sell or share the token with anyone for marketing.
5. Analytics, cookies and on-device storage
Google Analytics 4: we use Google Analytics to understand which pages are useful and whether visitors come from the website or the app. It sets cookies such as _ga and _ga_*, and Google processes usage and device data as described in Google’s privacy policy (policies.google.com/privacy). We do not send your name, email, or phone number to Google Analytics, and we do not use it for advertising. You can block these cookies in your browser or use Google’s opt-out add-on (tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout).
We do not use advertising pixels, ad networks, or cross-site marketing cookies.
Session cookie: keeps you signed in while you use the student or admin panel. It is essential.
Language cookie (ic_lang): remembers English, Hindi, Urdu, or Arabic for about one year.
Surface cookie (ic_surface): remembers whether the page is open in the app, a phone browser, or a computer, so the right menu and banners are shown.
Student remember-me cookie: only if you use the remember option on student login.
On-device storage: your browser or the app may keep small settings on the phone — the last city for prayer times or Ramadan, the Qibla compass setting, whether the page is running inside the app, and when you closed the “Get the app” or “Turn on notifications” banners. The app and website also keep an offline copy of a few pages so a message can be shown when there is no internet. This data stays on your device until you clear the app or site data.
If you block essential cookies, login and some tools may stop working.
6. How we use information
We use personal information to run the website, the app, and the center’s programmes: to answer messages and course enquiries, to provide student login, classes, results, and live sessions, to send notifications you allowed, to publish fatawa the administration approves, to improve pages using summary analytics, to keep the service secure and prevent spam or abuse, and to meet a legal request if one is made.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use it to show you third-party adverts.
7. Who else may receive information
Teachers and panel members see only what they need for their work (for example a course enquiry or a live class roster).
Service providers that help us run the website and app: Hostinger (web hosting and email, where the website database is stored); Google (Analytics, Firebase Cloud Messaging, YouTube embeds, and connection helpers for live video); Appilix (the app platform and notification delivery); and Cloudflare / Twilio connection helpers used only to connect live video between devices. They process data on our behalf or under their own privacy policies.
To show prayer times, Hijri dates, moon timing, and Ramadan calendars we request data from AlAdhan and related calculation services using a city or date, not your name. Metal prices for the zakat nisab come from public market APIs.
Live audio and video may be relayed through our own server for a few seconds, or through a connection relay, when a direct connection between devices is not possible. Do not share anything in a live session that you would not say in the room.
If a page includes a YouTube or Vimeo video, that provider’s cookies and policies apply when you play it.
We may share information if the law requires it, or to protect the center, students, or the public from serious harm. We never sell or rent personal data.
8. How long we keep it
Contact messages and course enquiries: until the administration has dealt with them and for a reasonable record period after that, or until you ask us to delete them.
Student records, results, and live-class attendance: while the student is enrolled and for as long as the center needs an academic record.
Fatawa questions: while they are being answered; published rulings stay on the site (with personal details removed) until the administration removes them.
Live media: only for the session. Temporary relay files on our server are overwritten every few seconds and deleted when you leave or the session ends.
Google Analytics data is kept by Google for the retention period set in our Analytics account (at most 14 months). Push tokens stay until you turn off notifications or uninstall the app.
9. Your rights
You may ask us for a summary of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or update it, ask us to delete it, withdraw consent you gave earlier, or name someone to act for you. Parents or guardians may write on behalf of a child whose student account we manage.
Send the request to Info@islamiccenterfzd.com (or call / WhatsApp +91 70784 30062). We may need to confirm that the request is from you, and we reply within 30 days.
You can also withdraw consent for optional items at any time — for example turn off notifications, location, camera, or microphone in your phone settings, or leave a live session.
10. Delete your data or student account
The public app and website do not need an account. If you only installed the app, uninstalling it removes the app, its notification token, and all settings stored on your phone.
To delete a student account or any information you sent us (contact messages, course enquiries, fatawa questions): email Info@islamiccenterfzd.com with the subject “Delete my data”, or call / WhatsApp +91 70784 30062. Tell us your name, the email or phone number you used, and the student name if it is a student account.
After we confirm the request, we delete the account, login details, messages, and enquiries within 30 days. We may keep a basic academic record (name, course, and certificate or result already issued) only where the law or a certificate verification needs it, and records we must keep for legal reasons. Published fatawa stay without your personal details.
11. Children
The website and app are for the general community, including families. They are not made specially for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without a parent or guardian.
Student accounts for minors are created by the center with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Children should use contact forms, fatawa questions, and live class camera or microphone only with a parent or guardian’s knowledge.
If you believe a child has sent us personal information without permission, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Security
All data between your device and our website or app is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. We use signed-in sessions, hashed passwords, access limits on the admin panel, and spam protection on forms.
No online service can promise perfect security. Please use a strong password and sign out on a shared device. If we learn of a data breach that affects you, we will inform you and the authorities as the law requires.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this page when the website, the app, or the law changes. The date at the top is the latest version. Important changes will also be announced on the website or in the app.
