Journalism & Media Skills Workshop

This workshop trains students and volunteers of Islamic Center Information Hub to write, record, and speak for the Center’s own work — reports of a programme, a short interview, a caption that is true. Journalism here means amanah: names spelled correctly, claims checked, and no sensationalism about the community.

Participants practise a lead paragraph, a fair quote, basic phone video, and the adab of asking a guest for time. We discuss how Muslim voices are often framed in Indian media, and how a local center in Firozabad can still tell its own story without copying hostility or slogans.

Graduates of the sitting often help document workshops, welfare drives, and academy functions. The skill is for khidmah, not celebrity. When a batch is open, youth who write or speak well are encouraged to apply through the administration.
