Haya & Hijab: Values, Identity & Responsibility

Haya in this seminar is treated as a quality of the heart for men and women, not a rule only for girls’ scarves. Islamic Center Information Hub speaks about the gaze, the joke, the photograph, the way brothers sit in a market, and then about hijab as identity, protection, and ibadah — not as fashion and not as a punishment.

Sisters describe, with adab, what makes hijab difficult in a Firozabad college or workplace, and what support actually helps: a father’s honour, a mother’s consistency, a school that does not mock. Brothers are asked what haya looks like in their own dress, speech, and timelines.
